Weaviate is an open-source database that can be hosted via their cloud-managed service or run locally. AnythingLLM will work with either installation method.

You are responsible for setting up & maintaining your installation of Weaviate. AnythingLLM will begin to store information in Weaviate automatically once connected.

The API key and header are optional for Weaviate if your installation of Weaviate does not require it.
